ROUGHING IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE ROUGH:
EASE INTO CAMPING AT THE DAWSON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY
Have you ever thought about camping, but don’t know where to start? The good news is, roughing it doesn’t have to be rough! Join Bill Tanner around the campfire at the Dawson County Public Library on Saturday, March 15th from 7-8 PM for Ease into Camping and discover the ins and outs of creating a successful and fun camping experience.
Tanner will share his expertise as a veteran park ranger of thirty years and former Park Manager of Amicalola Falls by walking you through everything you need to know to plan your adventure at this FREE program. From gear such as tents and RVs to finding the location that’s right for you, information and demonstrations will be available to help you prepare.
From the mountains to the coastal islands, Georgia has some of the nation’s most scenic locations to set up camp – including lots of places in our own county. And whether you’re brand new to the great outdoors or simply need a refresher, Ease into Camping will help you do just that! So bring your lawn chairs, and pull up a seat around the fire. You might even get to toast a marshmallow or two!
